Text description provided by the architects. Autogasco SA , a subsidiary of GASCO SA in its mission to contribute to and promote the development of the NGV industry as clean and alternative fuel ; retrieves and enables historic preservation building for use by their corporate offices , continuing and use the property since the early twentieth century served as Gas distribution center for the city of Santiago.
The project stems from three key concepts , materiality , related to the recovery of parquet and all the perimeter walls of the building which would show the history and the time of construction; transparency, which would give light to all the premises of the office reducing the use of artificial light and always having a complete perspective of space ; and finally places integrated and starring meeting within the project , which allowed give dynamism and movement in space.
The result of this work, makes sense in direct communication is achieved between past and present, who lives makes this space to discover the history of a building that has reinvented today to represent the avant-garde vision of the company through AutoGasco its subsidiary and the contribution that this delivery environment.
Transparency , materiality and meeting spaces , not only want to enhance the architecture but to be protagonists in the use of the program; who works delivering a flexible and dynamic that enhances efficiency , creativity and communication.
